Ontario?s 17th arrive alive DRIVE SOBER® campaign launched on Tuesday, May 9th 2006 - 10:00 a.m. at ROGERS CENTRE, Gate 5. OCCID President was joined by Honourable Monte Kwinter, Ontario Minister of Community Safety, Honourable Harinder Takhar, Ontario Minister of Transportation, Paul Godfrey, Toronto Blue Jay Baseball Club, Chief Supt. Wm. Grodzinski, Ontario Provincial Police, Supt. Steve Grant, Toronto Police Services, and many other guests to kick off the 17th summer campaign aimed at preventing drinking and driving. Announcement 50/50 winning ticket number is ... 1199. Total 50/50 sales totaled $ 2,844.45 , making the winner's portion $1,422.23. The winning number was drawn by the Master of Ceremonies at the 11th annual Toronto?s Festival of Beer immediately prior to closing festivities and the last set - played by The Mahones. OCCID congratulates the lucky winner and thanks everyone who bought tickets at the Festival held Friday August 11th through Sunday August 13th. In addition to reminding everyone present to arrive alive DRIVE SOBER, other funds raised through t-shirt sales and individual donations totaled 1064.12, making the total funds raised for the arrive alive DRIVE SOBER campaign from the weekend a grand total of $2486.40!
